When acquiring a new Monocard device, you can choose between activating it or linking it to an existing profile.
But, what's the difference between these two processes and which should you choose?
Activation
You should choose to Activate your profile when acquiring your first card or adhesive tag.
By activating your device, you will create a new online profile to personalize with the data you want: you can enter your social networks, emails, phone numbers, addresses, websites, among many other options.
You can also choose to Activate your profile when acquiring your second device, but want them to have distinct data. This might happen if you want to have a professional profile and a personal profile, for example, and each device will redirect to one of them.
Linking
You should choose to Link your device to an existing profile when acquiring your second device and want it to redirect to your already active and updated profile. For example: you have a card, have already made your customizations, and want to acquire an adhesive tag that leads to the same data? Just do the linking!
This way, you can have more than one card with different profiles.
